Salish Ponds Wetlands Park {October 10, 2013}

Last week, I had the privilege of spending the afternoon doing something I absolutely love, with someone I absolutely love! I went out with my wonderful Dad (an accomplished bird/nature photographer) to go bird shooting at a 70-acre park near our home. On this particular afternoon, we didn’t see a whole lot of wildlife action, but we still very much enjoyed our time absorbing the peace and serenity that comes from being out in nature.  I only got a few shots (mostly of water fowl) that were even worth sharing here…but my Dad had an amazing 1000 mm “reach” for a good portion of the day (not to mention YEARS of experience doing this), so he was (not surprisingly) able to walk a way with a few more in the “keeper” department than I did!  ;)

By the way, if you’ve never seen my Dad’s beautiful work before, please check it out at The imagery is captivating! <3
Then, head over to Facebook to show his page a little love (LIKE the page HERE)!

…and…the shirt says it ALL. <3

Oh, Kimi, what a nice post and great set of pictures you posted! You got that stretching pose in both the male and females. And a wonderful, sharp, close up of the goose! But I think my fav is the female on the rock with the drake in the background. Awesome reflections and great composition. And the last one of my shirt and the camera–very cool! Didn’t even know you took that shot! I absolutely love you, too, and hope we do this again, soon.
